The FX-721HPC-B is a pair of tube extractors that bolt to the heads of the Silverado 1500 V8, running 1-3/4in primary tubes into 3in outlets. They take the place of the cast factory manifolds — the first section of the exhaust — and feed into the rest of the system from there. The black ceramic coating is applied to the tubes to handle exhaust heat and resist surface corrosion.
