The MPI Automotive FX-764 is an extractor set listed to fit the Chevrolet C20 ute with the 292ci six-cylinder engine. It is a tube exhaust manifold for the older Chevrolet six, supplied for restoration and working-ute builds.
What does this extractor set cover?
The FX-764 bolts to the cylinder head in place of the original cast iron manifold, replacing it with welded steel tubes. It is the first component in the exhaust path, taking the gases straight off the head. On a 292ci Chevrolet six that has done years of work in a C20 ute, the cast original is a common failure point, so a new extractor set is a practical repair as well as a breathing upgrade.

An extractor replaces the restrictive factory casting with individual tubes that collect downstream, aiming to reduce exhaust back-pressure off each cylinder.
