The Redback K-RPM15709 is a 2.5in cat-back sports exhaust system listed to fit the Ford EA, EB, ED, EF, EL and AU Falcon with the 4L six-cylinder, including the XR6, in sedan body. It replaces the pipework behind the catalytic converter.
What's a cat-back and what does it change?
A cat-back replaces the exhaust from the catalytic converter rearward — mid pipe, muffler and tailpipe — while the cat and the engine stay in place. At 2.5in it's sized for the 4L six rather than oversized, and Redback lists it as a sports system, so expect a louder-than-stock note in sedan form. The emissions hardware up front is left as standard.
