The Redback M1577 is a replacement centre muffler listed to fit the Toyota Camry ACV36 with the 2.4L engine, from 2002. It's the mid-system silencer for that Camry, built to slot into the factory centre run when the original has corroded.
On the ACV36 Camry the centre muffler is the middle silencer of the exhaust, carrying gas rearward under the floor and taking out a share of the noise before the rear section. The M1577 replaces that part on the 2.4L. It's a section-level repair — the usual fix when the original centre unit rusts or splits — rather than a whole new system.
The M1577 is listed specifically for the 2.4L ACV36 Camry, so it matches that engine's exhaust path and the car's centre routing. As a chambered muffler it quietens by absorption and reflection and restores the standard, settled note rather than adding volume. The supplier publishes no sound figures and we quote none.
It's listed to fit the Toyota Camry ACV36 2.4L from 2002. Confirm your exact build and year with the workshop before ordering so the centre muffler matches your car. Listed-to-fit data is a guide we check against the actual vehicle.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits the M1577 across the Illawarra. A centre swap means removing the old mid-run, checking the hangers and the joints to the front and rear sections, and setting the new muffler true so it clears the floor. We'll inspect the rest of the system on the hoist and flag anything else that's tired.
