Why a dual centre-muffler set off twin cats?
On a V8 Statesman with independent rear suspension and a twin-catalytic-converter front end, the exhaust splits into two banks early and stays split. The MBM124MF is supplied as a matched pair of centre mufflers so each bank carries its own silencing through the middle of the car.
