Holden Commodore VT VU VY VZ SS VT-VX HSV Sedan V8 Dual 2 1/2in Rear Muffler With Tips (SKU: MBM171MF) Engineered
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MBM171MF is a dual 2½in rear muffler with tips for the V8 Holden Commodore and HSV sedan (VT, VU, VY, VZ, including SS and VX) — the finished rear silencer that exits through integrated tips for a complete back-of-car look.
This is the defining feature: the MBM171MF is the rear silencer with the exhaust tips built into the exit, so it finishes the V8 sedan's back end as one part rather than needing tips added later. In dual 2½in it's matched to the V8 sedans' twin layout. You get the rear silencing and the visible tailpipe finish in the one rear unit.
It's the last chambered silencer in the run, on a dual 2½in layout to suit the V8 Commodore and HSV sedans. The chambers reflect and absorb the V8's pulses to keep the note controlled before the gas exits through the tips. The 2½in dual bore is sized for these cars rather than a larger custom system.
It's listed to fit the V8 Holden Commodore and HSV sedan across VT, VU, VY and VZ, including SS and VX. Confirm your exact model and that you're running the dual 2½in V8 layout with the workshop, since the V6 and wagon/ute cars take different parts.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits these in our Illawarra bay. We slot the rear silencer in and set the tips so they sit square and clear the rear bar evenly. Bring the car in and we'll line the tips up against the actual bumper before finishing.
