Holden Commodore VE-VF Sedan/Wagon V8 HSV & SS 2 1/2in Dual Centre With Hot Dogs + Centre Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MBM741MF is a 2½in dual centre section with hotdog resonators for the Holden Commodore VE/VF V8, covering the SS sedan and wagon plus HSV variants. The twin-hotdog centre is the defining feature, drone control across the middle of the car without a bulky chambered muffler.
This centre section runs hotdogs, compact straight-through resonators, in place of large chambered mufflers across the middle of the car. Hotdogs target and cut drone while staying free-flowing, so the VE/VF V8 keeps its voice but loses the boomy resonance that tires you out on a long drive. The dual layout mirrors the factory twin-pipe routing under the floor.
The 2½in twin-pipe bore suits the Commodore V8 across the SS and HSV range, enough flow split across two runs to match the engine without over-sizing. It's specified for both the sedan and wagon bodies, so the routing and length are set up for the longer-tailed wagon as well as the sedan.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VE/VF V8, the SS sedan and wagon and HSV variants, as a dual centre section. Because it's the centre rather than a full system, confirm your existing front pipes and rear mufflers so it pairs up. Send us the car and we'll confirm.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits VE/VF centre sections in-house across the Illawarra. We align both 2½in runs, set the hotdog positions, and check clearance over the diff and tunnel on the hoist.
