Built for the IRS body, the MPI Automotive MKHN0043 is a 2.5in cat-back muffler-to-muffler system for the 3.8L V6 Holden Commodore VP and VR sedan. The independent-rear-suspension geometry sets the routing this system follows.
Why is the IRS body called out?
Independent rear suspension changes the geometry behind the diff, so the cat-back has to clear that cradle — it isn't shared with a live-axle car. The MKHN0043 is shaped for the IRS VP–VR sedan with the 3.8L V6, on a 2.5in bore matched to the engine and running two mufflers so the silencing is spread across the system.
What does the cat-back change?
It replaces everything from the catalytic converter back, leaving the engine's emissions hardware in place.
