The MPI Automotive MKHN0074 is the without-muffler version of the 2.5in cat-back for the VG-to-VR Holden Commodore ute. With no rear silencer in the section, it is the freer-flowing, louder path for owners who want the most open note the cat-back can give.
What does without-muffler change?
Deleting the muffler from the cat-back leaves a straighter, less restricted run from the cat rearward, so the section flows more freely and the exhaust note is harder and louder than the muffled equivalent. There is no chambered can damping the sound in this version, so it is the choice when you want the ute to sound open rather than subdued. It is the more aggressive of the two endings on the same 2.5in pipework.
