Running two mufflers in each line, the MPI Automotive MKHN0232 is the fully silenced 2.5in dual cat-back for the Holden Commodore VU/VY/VZ V8 ute. Twin boxes per side on the tighter bore make this the most subdued of the dual layouts for the V8 tray.
Why two mufflers per side?
A muffler-into-muffler run puts two silencing stages in each pipe, so the V8's pulses pass through twice as much absorption and reflection as a single-box layout. That's what makes the MKHN0232 the quieter, more restrained option among the dual cat-backs — it shapes the note hardest before it exits.
