Why does the short wheelbase get its own system?
A SWB Rodeo RA carries a shorter chassis and tray than the long-wheelbase truck, which shifts where the mid and rear pipework has to hang and how it exits. The MKHN0358 is shaped for that compressed run so the pipe geometry, hangers and tailpipe land in the right places under a short-bed ute rather than being stretched out for the longer body. If your RA is the short-wheelbase non-CR truck, this is the part cut for it.
What's been removed from the system?
Both the catalytic converter and the rear muffler are deleted, so the MKHN0358 leaves the 3.0L a near-open path from front to tail. Stripping out the cat and the silencer is the freest-flowing configuration MPI offers for the non-common-rail Rodeo, which is why it's an off-road and competition piece rather than a quiet street swap.
Can it be registered for the road in NSW?
No. Deleting the catalytic converter means the MKHN0358 is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only — there's no softening that. It's intended for non-CR Rodeo builds run off the public road where emissions compliance isn't required.
