The MPI Automotive MKHN0365 is the de-cat hotdog build for the short-wheelbase Holden Rodeo RA 3.0L CRD. It deletes the catalytic converter and runs a compact hotdog resonator — open-flowing, with just light silencing for the common-rail diesel ute.
What does the de-cat hotdog setup do?
MKHN0365 pulls the catalytic converter out and fits a hotdog — a short straight-through resonator — in place of a full muffler. Removing the cat clears the biggest in-line restriction, and the hotdog damps the note only lightly while keeping gas moving. It's a freer-flowing build than a mufflered system, sitting just below the no-muffler-at-all option in openness.
Is it road legal in NSW?
No. Because it deletes the catalytic converter, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only. It's built for off-road SWB Rodeo builds where emissions compliance isn't required.
Will it suit my SWB Rodeo RA?
It's listed to fit the short-wheelbase Holden Rodeo RA 3.0L common-rail diesel (CRD). The RA range includes non-common-rail engines too, so confirm yours is the CRD before ordering.
