The MPI Automotive MKHN0368 is a 3in turbo-back for the Holden Colorado RG 2.8L (DPF, from August 2016) that keeps the catalytic converter while deleting the rear muffler. Cat retained, muffler removed — that's what separates it from the full-delete build.
What's a 3in turbo-back and where does it sit?
A turbo-back runs from the turbo outlet rearward, the longer span where a 2.8L diesel like the RG's tends to breathe better than with a cat-back alone. The 3in bore is matched to the engine. On the MKHN0368 the catalytic converter stays in place while the rear muffler is deleted, so it opens the note at the back without removing the emissions hardware.
What does the muffler-delete change?
Removing the rear muffler takes out the chambered box that absorbs and reflects sound, so the tone is louder and freer than a muffled turbo-back. Because the cat is retained, only that one restriction is gone — this sits between the quiet with-cat-with-muffler build and the fully stripped delete version in this RG range.
Is it road legal?
