At a 3in bore, the MPI Automotive MKHN0370 is a full turbo-back for the Holden Colorado RG 2.8L (DPF, from August 2016), run without the catalytic converter and without a rear muffler. It's the largest-span, least-restricted layout in this RG family.

What does a 3in turbo-back cover?

A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward — a longer span than a cat-back and the section where a 2.8L diesel like the Colorado RG's tends to free up. At 3in it's sized for the engine's output. This MKHN0370 build adds no rear muffler and deletes the catalytic converter, so it's the most open run in the range with the least left in the pipe.

Is the MKHN0370 road legal in NSW?

No. Deleting the catalytic converter on a turbo-back system means it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW, and it's sold for off-road use only. The 3in bore and missing muffler make it loud and free-flowing, but the cat-delete is the line that sets its legal status — there's no softening it.

Which Colorado does the 3in suit?

It's listed to fit the Holden Colorado RG 2.8L with DPF, from August 2016 onward. The 3in sizing matches the 2.8L's output; the supplier record gives the year and bore, so confirm your exact variant with the workshop. The DPF-era RG differs from the earlier RC, so the generation matters when matching it.

What does fitting involve at Oak Flats Muffler Men?

We fit the MKHN0370 in-house across the Illawarra, confirming the 3in routing from the turbo back and checking clearance along the chassis. It's listed to fit the RG 2.8L DPF from Aug 2016; send your build and we'll confirm fitment, cover the off-road-only status, and book the bay.

Common questions

What bore is the MKHN0370?
It's a 3in turbo-back, sized for the Colorado RG 2.8L's output and routed from the turbo outlet rearward.
Can I register it in NSW?
No. With the catalytic converter deleted on a turbo-back, it isn't ADR 79/04 compliant for NSW road registration and is for off-road use only.
Does it fit the earlier Colorado RC?
No. This is listed for the RG 2.8L DPF from August 2016. The earlier RC uses different parts, so confirm your generation with the workshop.
