Routed for the short-wheelbase tub, the MPI Automotive MKHN0449 is a no-cat, no-muffler system for the 3.0L Holden Colorado RC (2010–2012) in SWB form. The SWB-specific routing sets the packaging, and the twin deletions — cat and muffler both gone — make it the most open build, supplied for off-road use only.
Why does the SWB routing matter?
The Colorado RC came in short and long wheelbase, and the exhaust has to follow the chassis it's built for. The MKHN0449 is cut and bent for the SWB tub, so its pipe lengths and hanger points suit that shorter rear section. Fitting an LWB system to a SWB ute, or the reverse, doesn't work — getting the wheelbase right is the first thing we confirm.
Is the MKHN0449 road legal?
No. It deletes the catalytic converter, which is a road-relevant emissions component, so it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is supplied for off-road use only. There's no softening that. With no muffler either, it's the freest-flowing, hardest-noted build in this Colorado RC family — a paddock or competition part rather than a registrable one.
