The MPI Automotive MKHN0476 is the most open turbo-back in the Colorado 7 family: it deletes both the factory cat and the centre muffler. Listed to fit the 2.8L Holden Colorado 7 SUV, this no-cat, no-centre-muffler build is the freest-flowing, hardest-noted configuration MPI offers for the wagon — and the cat-delete is what fixes its off-road status.
Why is this the most open configuration?
Two things set the MKHN0476 apart from its siblings: there's no catalytic converter and no centre muffler. With both gone, gas has the least to push against along the run, so the note is harder and more present than any damped version. There's no absorptive element in the middle to soften it. This is the build for an off-road or competition Colorado 7 where flow and a raw tone matter more than refinement.
Is the MKHN0476 road legal?
No. Because it deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant turbo-back, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is supplied for off-road use only. There's no softening that. If the wagon is driven on public roads, one of the with-cat versions of this system is what you need instead.
What's a turbo-back on the Colorado 7?
A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward — the longest single span short of a full custom build — which on a 2.8L diesel is where the most pipework frees up. The MKHN0476 has a published RRP of $1,367.80, the keenest in this family because it carries neither a cat nor a centre muffler.
