RAW 4x4 NM294 Shock Absorber Nitro.
Category: Suspension and 4x4 parts

The RAW 4x4 NM294 is a Nitro shock absorber for the short-wheelbase Ford Maverick Y60 wagon — the SWB body, which sits and routes differently to the long-wheelbase version of the same platform.
The Y60 came as both short- and long-wheelbase wagons, and a shorter chassis carries its weight and mounts its dampers differently. RAW 4x4 lists the NM294 to the SWB Maverick specifically. Because the Y60 was sold here as the Ford Maverick and, badged differently, as the Nissan Patrol, listings for the two overlap — so we check the body and wheelbase against the listing, not just the badge.
We fit Nitro dampers in-house across the Illawarra. We match the NM294 to your SWB Maverick, check the mounting points and clearances on the wagon, and quote labour once it's on the hoist. Shocks are usually replaced across an axle, so we'll talk quantities when you book. Confirm your exact build with us before ordering.
A shock absorber damps the springs so the wagon settles after a bump instead of oscillating. "Nitro" is RAW 4x4's name for this gas-charged shock range — a family label, not a measured rate. The NM294 is a direct replacement at the listed position, and with no published stroke or valving numbers we keep figures out of it.
A damper is a chassis part, not emissions equipment, so it carries none of the catalytic-converter or muffler questions an exhaust does. Any NSW engineering only enters if the NM294 is part of a height change across the whole build. RAW 4x4 publishes no approval for the part itself and we won't imply one.
