The Redback RBH125 is a mandrel-bent header set listed to fit the 2WD Toyota Hilux with the 22R engine. It replaces the cast factory manifold and carries a recommended retail of $709.
A header (extractor) takes the place of the cast manifold with tuned tubes into a collector. Mandrel bending means the tubes are formed over an internal mandrel so they keep a consistent bore through the bends rather than crushing down, which helps flow. On a 22R Hilux this is the front of the exhaust; everything behind the collector is separate. Redback doesn't publish the tube diameter or material for the RBH125 in our data, so the workshop confirms the part directly.
It's listed to fit the 2WD Hilux running the 22R petrol four. The 2WD note matters because the routing differs from the 4WD version, so we match the listing to your exact ute before ordering. Send us your Hilux's body and year and we'll confirm the RBH125 suits it.
Headers sit ahead of the emissions hardware, so road compliance depends on the complete system and how the ute is presented for registration in NSW. We don't make a standalone legality claim — confirm your requirements with the workshop first.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Hilux header sets in the Illawarra. On a 2WD 22R we check the head studs and the joint behind the collector while access is open, then fit the RBH125 with a fresh gasket. Book the Hilux in and we'll confirm clearances on the day.
