The Redback RBH147 is a header listed to fit the Toyota Landcruiser BJ40 with the 3B four-cylinder diesel engine. It replaces the cast factory manifold and carries a recommended retail of $695.
A header (extractor) replaces the cast manifold with tuned tubes into a collector, the front of the exhaust on the engine. On an older four-cylinder diesel such as the 3B it's the manifold section ahead of the rest of the system; the pipework and silencing behind the collector are separate. Redback doesn't publish the tube diameter or material for the RBH147 in our data, so the workshop confirms the part directly rather than us quoting numbers we can't trace.
It's listed to fit the BJ40 Landcruiser with the 3B 4-cylinder diesel. The BJ40 is an older chassis, so condition and any previous modifications matter for the fit. Send us your Cruiser's details and we'll check the RBH147 against the listing before ordering.
Headers sit ahead of the emissions hardware, so road compliance depends on the whole system and how the vehicle is presented for registration in NSW. We don't make a standalone legality claim — confirm your requirements with the workshop first.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Landcruiser header sets in the Illawarra. On a BJ40 we check the head studs and surrounding pipework while the old manifold is off, then fit the RBH147 with a fresh gasket. Book the Cruiser in and we'll confirm clearances on the day.
