The Redback RBH718 is a set of headers listed to fit the six-cylinder Ford Falcon FG across the XR6, G6, G6E and XT variants. It replaces the factory cast manifold on the inline six with a tube-and-merge header set, supplied by Redback.

What does a header do on the Falcon six?

A header replaces the heavy cast exhaust manifold the Falcon left the factory with. Where a cast manifold lumps the runners together in a rough casting, a header runs separate mandrel-formed tubes from each port into a merge, giving the exhaust a cleaner path off the head. On the FG inline six that's the front-of-system upgrade — everything downstream still depends on the rest of the exhaust, but this is where the gas first gets a better run.
