Holden Commodore VU VY VZ V8 Ute 2 1/2in RHS Exit Rear Muffler With OVAL Tip for selected vehicle applications.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMBM241MF is a right-hand-side exit rear muffler with an oval tip for the V8 Commodore ute. Two things set it apart: it's plumbed for the RHS exit specifically, and it finishes on an oval tip rather than a round one.
This rear muffler is built for the right-hand-side exit, so the tailpipe leaves out the passenger side of the ute, and it finishes on an oval tip integrated into the unit. The oval shape gives a wider, flatter outlet at the rear bar than a round tip — a styling and packaging choice, with the tip part of the muffler rather than a separate piece. It's the version for utes plumbed to exit right.
As the tailpipe-end silencer it does the final quietening on the V8 and shapes the note at the back of the ute. It's a chambered absorptive muffler, finishing through its integrated oval tip on the right-hand side.
It's listed to fit the Commodore ute in V8 form across the VU, VY and VZ series, in the right-hand-side exit configuration. Confirm your exact series and that your ute runs the RHS exit with the workshop before ordering.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits rear mufflers like this in-house across the Illawarra, lining up the oval tip square in the rear bar on the right-hand side. MPI Automotive lists it at $673.94; send your VU-VZ ute details through and we'll confirm the fit and exit side.
