MPI Automotive Holden Commodore VP - VS V8 IRS Sedan Dual 3 in Centre Mufflers off Twin Cat.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The SSMBM418MF is a dual 3in centre muffler assembly for the IRS Holden Commodore VP–VS V8 sedan, set up to run off a twin-cat front — the mid-system silencing for cars with two catalytic converters feeding into it.
This centre assembly is configured to pick up from a twin-catalytic-converter front, where each bank of the V8 runs its own cat before the gas reaches the centre. The dual 3in centre mufflers then take that twin feed and silence it mid-system, matched to the geometry of a twin-cat VP–VS sedan rather than a single-cat layout.
The independent-rear VP–VS sedans route the centre differently to live-axle cars, and the dual centre keeps both banks separate through the middle of the run. Built to a 3in bore, the assembly suits a larger twin system, doing the main silencing before the rear while clearing the IRS subframe.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VP through VS V8 sedan with IRS and a twin-cat front. Confirm your exact model, rear setup and that you have the twin-cat arrangement with the workshop before ordering — single-cat cars need a different part.
