Holden Commodore VN VP VQ VR VS V8 Wagon - Ute 3in Centre Muffler (SKU: SSMBM464MF) Engineered for a wide range.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The SSMBM464MF is a 3in centre muffler for the Holden Commodore VN/VP/VQ/VR/VS V8 wagon and ute — built around the longer wagon/ute floor rather than the sedan.
The VN–VS wagon and ute share a longer rear floor and a live-axle layout that differs from the sedan, so the centre muffler hangs in a different spot. This unit is built for that wagon/ute routing, so the 3in body sits on the right mounts and clears the longer load floor.
Sitting mid-system, the centre muffler uses internal chambers to quieten the V8 before the rear of the car. It's the main silencing element here, taking the harshness out of the note while the 3in bore keeps the V8 breathing through a larger-than-stock pipe.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VN, VP, VQ, VR and VS V8 in wagon and ute body styles. That's a broad span of the live-axle V8 load-carriers on one centre part. Confirm your exact model and body shape with the workshop before ordering — the sedan uses a different centre section.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits the MPI Automotive SSMBM464MF in-house across the Illawarra. As a centre item we mock it up on the hoist, confirm it clears the wagon/ute floor and tailshaft, check the hangers seat, and weld or clamp it in. It's a single mid-system unit, so it's a clean swap once the car is up. Send your model and body and we'll confirm fit and book a bay.
