The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0010 is a 3in turbo-back for the non-DPF Holden Colorado RG 2.8L (from 2012) that deletes the catalytic converter while keeping a muffler. Being a cat-delete, it's an off-road-only system.
What does a turbo-back without cat involve?
A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward — a longer span than a cat-back and the bigger-bore step where a turbo-diesel like the 2.8L tends to free up. The SSMKHN0010 deletes the catalytic converter on the way through, so the path is as open as it gets, while a muffler keeps the note from being unbearable. At 3in it's sized for the engine.
Is it road legal?
Because this run deletes the catalytic converter, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold for off-road use only. It's intended for off-road, competition or property use on the non-DPF Colorado.
