VY V8 HSV Sedan 3in Dual Catback Hotdog/Muffler (SSMKHN0138) Fits HOLDEN. Fast shipping, warranty included.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0138 is the hotdog-and-muffler 3in dual cat-back for the VY V8 HSV sedan. A compact straight-through hotdog ahead of the muffler is its signature: it keeps the dual run breathing more freely than a twin-chamber build.
A hotdog is a short straight-through resonator — gas runs through a perforated core, trimming drone without the restriction of a full chamber. With a single muffler behind it, the VY HSV sedan gets a freer-breathing rear half, while the muffler keeps peak volume in check so the note stays managed.
It replaces the exhaust from the catalytic converter rearward in two pipes routed down the VY sedan floor. The factory cat stays in place, so this is the rear-half change and the emissions equipment ahead of the cat is left standard.
It is listed to fit the VY V8 HSV sedan; the supplier does not publish a year. We treat the listing as a guide rather than a guarantee and confirm the hotdog and muffler routing against your actual HSV before ordering the part in.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this MPI Automotive cat-back across the Illawarra, lining up the hotdog and muffler, the dual run and the hanger positions against your HSV sedan before booking the bay. As a cat-back it keeps the factory cat in place. RRP is $2,465.58; as an MPI Automotive part it is ordered in for your car.
