VZ HSV V8 Sedan 2.5in Dual Catback Hotdog/Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0140 is a dual 2.5in cat-back with a hotdog resonator, listed to fit the VZ HSV V8 Sedan. The hotdog leads — a compact straight-through resonator on a dual layout that opens the rear of an HSV sedan's V8 without full mufflers.
A hotdog is a short straight-through resonator — perforated core, absorptive packing, gas flowing straight through. On a dual 2.5in HSV sedan setup it gives a harder, freer note than a chambered muffler while staying compact across both banks. It's the more open of the dual builds, suited to an owner chasing more presence from the cat-back back.
The system splits into two 2.5in banks, which suits the HSV sedan's twin-exit rear and keeps gas speed up on each side. Twin 2.5in carries V8 volume without stepping to a single larger pipe. We quote only the 2.5in diameter MPI lists for this part and make no combined-area claim.
The SSMKHN0140 is listed to fit the VZ HSV V8 Sedan across the Holden and HSV range. The sedan rear and dual routing are model-specific, so confirm your exact build and rear-end layout with the workshop before ordering to be sure the twin exits and hangers align.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this MPI dual section in-house across the Illawarra. We check both banks' flanges, hangers and clearance against your HSV first. It's typically a special order — send your build and we'll confirm availability and timing.
