Shaped for the long-wheelbase body, the MPI Automotive SSMKHN0362 is a cat- and muffler-delete section for the Holden Rodeo RA 3.0L CRD. Both the catalytic converter and the rear muffler are removed.
What does the long-wheelbase routing mean here?
The LWB Rodeo has a longer run from engine to tail than the short-wheelbase ute, so this section is shaped for that body. With both the cat and the muffler deleted, the SSMKHN0362 is the most open build over that length, with nothing in the run to restrict flow or absorb the note.
What does deleting cat and muffler do to compliance?
Taking out the catalytic converter changes the emissions hardware the Rodeo left the factory with, and dropping the muffler removes the rear silencer, so it's loud and open. Because it deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road or competition use only.
