The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0444 deletes the catalytic converter but adds a hotdog resonator, listed to fit the Holden Colorado RC 3.0L (long-wheelbase, 2010-2012). The hotdog trims the rasp while the system still runs cat-free for an open path.
Why a hotdog on a cat-delete build?
This variant pairs a deleted catalytic converter with a hotdog: a compact straight-through resonator that takes the sharpest edge off the note without the absorption of a full muffler. Cat-free for flow but resonated for tone, it is the slightly more civilised step up from the fully open no-muffler build. Owners who want to keep the engine note in check can step to a quieter build, while this one prioritises an open path.
What does the long-wheelbase fitment mean?
This is the LWB system for the longer-chassis Colorado RC from 2010 to 2012. The wheelbase sets the underbody pipe length and hanger positions, so it is specific to the long-wheelbase ute and not shared with the short-wheelbase version.
