Holden Trailblazer 2.8L Turbo Back Without Cat & With Hotdog (SKU: SSMKHN0471) Engineered. Quality guaranteed.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0471 is a turbo-back system with a compact hotdog resonator and no catalytic converter, listed to fit the Holden Trailblazer 2.8L. It pairs the longest engine-back span with a straight-through hotdog instead of a full muffler.
A hotdog is a small straight-through resonator: it knocks the sharpest edge off the note without the absorption of a full muffler, so it sits between a muffler-delete and a quietened system. On this turbo-back it keeps the path open while taking some rasp out, which suits owners who want a fuller diesel tone without a boomy cabin.
A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward, a longer run than a cat-back and the section where the 2.8L tends to free up once the restrictive factory pipework is gone. This build deletes the catalytic converter, so it is the most open path in the family.
Because it deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold for off-road and competition use only.
