Built in 304 stainless, the STAINLESS-SNORKEL-TO-SUIT-TOYOTA-80-SERIES-LANDCRUISER-SHORT-ENTRY-COPY is a short-entry snorkel from Radius Fabrications, listed to fit the Toyota 80 Series Landcruiser. The short entry keeps the air pickup tucked closer to the guard rather than reaching up to roof height.
What does a snorkel actually do?
A snorkel relocates the engine's air intake from inside the guard up to a raised pickup, drawing breathing air from higher and cleaner than the factory inlet sits. On a touring 80 Series that means less risk of pulling dust into the airbox on corrugated roads and a higher entry point if you wade water. This one is the short-entry version, so the head sits lower on the pillar than a full roof-height design.
Why 304 stainless?
Radius Fabrications builds this snorkel from 304 stainless rather than moulded plastic. Stainless resists corrosion and stays rigid in the engine bay's heat and the spray of an Illawarra winter, and it takes a polished or brushed finish that doesn't chalk like UV-aged plastic. It's a heavier, more permanent fitment than a clip-on plastic kit.
