The Redback Extreme Duty THX48935-PO is a 3.5in DPF-back exhaust listed to fit the Toyota Hilux 2.8L N80. It replaces the run behind the diesel particulate filter, and it's sold and fitted at our Illawarra workshop.
What does this system cover?
This is a 3.5in DPF-back from Redback's Extreme Duty range for the N80 Hilux 2.8L. A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, so the DPF itself stays in place and the section behind it changes. At 3.5in it's a larger-bore rear path. Material, muffler and tip details aren't published for this part, so we don't quote them — they're confirmed against the kit at fitting.
What's a DPF-back and what does it change?
A DPF-back is the section behind the diesel particulate filter, so it changes the rear flow and the note without removing the filter that sits up front on a modern diesel like the 2.8L Hilux.
