As a DPF-back it runs from the diesel particulate filter rearward — so it leaves the DPF in place and renews the system behind it in 3in.
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, so the DPF and the emissions hardware ahead of it stay as the Prado left the factory. Stepping the section behind the DPF up to 3in opens the flow on the 2.8L turbo-diesel where the factory system is tighter. This is the muffler-only version, meaning it carries a muffler rather than a straight-through rear for a controlled note.
