Redback's new 3.5-inch DPF-backs: MV Triton, Ranger V6, Amarok and LC300
Redback's newest Extreme Duty fitments step up to 3.5-inch pipework for the current crop of diesel utes and wagons — what's in the kits and which vehicles are covered.
Topics
The newest wave of Redback Extreme Duty systems moves to 3.5-inch pipework for the current generation of diesel utes and wagons. If you drive an MV Triton, a Next-Gen Ranger V6, an Amarok NF or a 300 Series, these are the kits to know about.
Mitsubishi MV Triton (2023-on)
The newest fitment in the catalogue: a 3.5-inch DPF-back for the 2.4L 4N16 diesel across GLX, GLX+, GLS and GLR grades, in the usual 409 stainless with 10mm flanges and the EGT plug boss, listed at about $1,260. The factory MV system is heavily muffled; this wakes the engine note up without harming driveability.
Next-Gen Ranger V6 and Amarok NF (2022-on)
One kit covers both the Ranger V6 3.0L turbo-diesel and its VW Amarok NF twin (not the Raptor). It is a 3.5-inch DPF-back that necks to a 3-inch tailpipe in a muffler-delete configuration, and at roughly $700 on sale it is one of the cheapest ways to give the V6 a voice. Being a muffler-delete design it is the boldest-sounding kit on this page — if you do long highway miles, talk to us about tone before committing.
Landcruiser 300 Series
The LC300 kit (GR included, KDSS-compatible) runs 3.5-inch 409 stainless tube with a 304 stainless internally-sleeved flex bellow — the one spot where the better grade genuinely earns its keep, because flex sections are where cheap systems crack. Pipe-only and muffler variants are available, priced from about $1,660 to $1,810.

Redback's development page is currently recruiting test vehicles for the LC79 V8 single cab DPF model, the 2.8 dual-cab 79, the Prado 250 Series and the Mustang FM/FN V8 — so expect those fitments to land in the catalogue next. If you drive one of these and want a system the week it releases, get on our list and we will call you when stock lands.
