The MPI Automotive EMG180 is an extractor gasket listed to fit the Toyota Land Cruiser 2F petrol. It seals the joint between the extractors or manifold and the cylinder head on that engine.
What does this gasket do?
An extractor gasket seals the flange between the extractors or factory manifold and the cylinder head, so exhaust gas does not leak at the joint. The EMG180 is cut for the Toyota Land Cruiser 2F petrol engine. It is a consumable sealing part rather than a performance part, and a fresh one goes in whenever the manifold or extractors are removed from the engine.
When should it be replaced?
Fit a new gasket whenever the headers or manifold come off, or on its own if the old gasket has started to blow at the head. The 2F is an older petrol six, so the original gasket can be well aged; a fresh EMG180 restores a clean seal at the flange when the work is done.
