The EMG209 is the flat exhaust gasket for the 3.8-litre Buick V6 in the VN, VP, VQ and VR Commodore. It seals the joint where the extractor or factory manifold meets the cylinder head, keeping exhaust gas in the runner rather than leaking at the flange. It is sold each, so a V6 — with a bank of cylinders on each side — typically needs a pair. It is matched to the Buick V6 port pattern across those Commodore series.

An extractor gasket is the replaceable seal between the cylinder head and the extractor or manifold.
