The MPI Automotive FX-239HPC-S is a ceramic-coated extractor set listed to fit the Holden Vectra (JR and JS) 2.0L and 2.2L C20/C22 Ecotec DOHC, 1997 to 2003. The silver ceramic coating separates it from the bare FX-239.
What is an extractor and what does the coating do?
An extractor set replaces the cast factory manifold with tubular primary pipes that give each cylinder a more open path out of the head than a single shared casting. This version wears a silver ceramic coating, applied to the steel to help shed heat and resist surface corrosion compared with an uncoated set. It's MPI's pattern for the JR/JS Vectra four-cylinder Ecotec DOHC engines.
