The MPI Automotive FX-241 is an extractor set listed to fit the Holden Astra (TR, TS and AH) 1.8L and 2.0L with the X and Z engines, from September 1998 to December 2006. It's the uncoated version of MPI's Astra X/Z-engine pattern.
What does an extractor set change?
An extractor replaces the cast factory manifold with tubular primary pipes that merge downstream, so each cylinder breathes out through its own run rather than a single shared casting. The result is generally freer exhaust flow and a deeper note than stock. The FX-241 is the bare-steel version of this Astra set; the silver ceramic-coated equivalent is the FX-241HPC-S.
