What is this EFI-conversion extractor for?
This is a tuned extractor set built for the early Holden HQ-to-HZ body running a 5.0L EFI conversion, where the original manifolds were never designed for the swapped-in engine. It uses 1-3/4in primary pipes feeding 4-into-1 collectors that step out to 3in outlets, so it is sized to suit the converted V8 rather than a stock motor. The silver ceramic coating is applied to manage under-bonnet heat on the pipe surface.
What does the ceramic coating do?
A ceramic coating is a surface finish on the extractor pipes, here in silver. It is a heat-and-corrosion treatment for the steel rather than anything that changes the exhaust path or tune.
