Why a long-tube 4-into-1 here?
This is a long-tube design with a 4-into-1 merge, meaning each of the four primaries runs a long, equal-length path before collecting into one. That layout favours a fuller top-end pull on a worked LS-family V8, where the long tubes replace the short, restrictive factory cast manifolds. It's a different character to a tri-Y, leaning toward higher-rpm breathing on the 5.7 and 6.0 litre Commodores.
What does the ceramic coating add?
The HPC-S marks the ceramic-coated silver version. The coating is a thermal barrier that keeps exhaust heat inside the long tubes instead of soaking the engine bay, which helps underbonnet temperatures and gives a hard-wearing silver finish that resists corrosion and bluing.
