The MPI Automotive FX-622 is an extractor set listed to fit the 4WD Toyota Hilux with the 22R motor in the air-pump configuration. It replaces the cast factory manifold on that emissions-equipped Hilux.
What does the air-pump version mean?
Extractors replace the cast factory manifold with separate tuned tubes that merge into a collector. The 22R Hilux was sold with and without a factory air pump for emissions, and the manifold differs between them. The FX-622 is the version made for the air-pump setup, so it suits trucks that left the factory with that emissions hardware. It's the front-of-system replacement; the rest of the exhaust stays as fitted.
Will the FX-622 suit my 22R Hilux?
