This kit carries two Everflo mufflers in the cat-back run instead of one. Splitting the silencing across two boxes spreads the work, which tends to keep the note controlled on a V6 sedan that's spending most of its life on the street. As a cat-back it replaces everything from the catalytic converter back, so the factory emissions hardware up front stays untouched and the change is to flow and tone behind it.
The VS sedan was offered with both live-axle and independent rear suspension, and the rear routing differs between them. This kit is the IRS version, so the pipework and hangers are shaped to clear the independent rear cradle rather than a live axle. That's the detail to get right — an IRS kit won't sit cleanly under a live-axle car, which is why we confirm your rear end before ordering.
