Running a pair of Everflo mufflers into a single tailpipe, the Exhaust Systems Australia HOLDEN-COMMODORE-VT-VY-V6-SEDAN-2-1-2-CATBACK-KIT is a cat-back kit listed to fit the VT–VY Commodore V6 sedan. Two mufflers across the back keep the note in check.
The defining feature is the muffler count: this kit uses two Everflo mufflers feeding a tailpipe, so the V6 sedan's note is managed in two stages rather than one. It's a complete cat-back — the whole section behind the catalytic converter — sized for the V6 across the VT to VY range. Splitting the silencing across two Everflo mufflers spreads the quietening down the length of the run, and because the kit is matched to the V6 sedan it locates on the factory hanger points rather than needing one-off pipework.
A cat-back replaces the mufflers and pipework from the catalytic converter back. It alters flow and tone through the rear of the car and leaves the front-of-cat emissions equipment as the factory set it.
