Three quietening stages set this kit (HOLDEN-COMMODORE-VT-VY-V6-UTE-WAGON-2-1-2-CATBACK-KIT-INC-2-X-EVERFLO-MUFFLER-HO) apart: a 2in cat-back for the VT–VY V6 Commodore ute and wagon running two Everflo mufflers plus a hotdog resonator — the most thoroughly damped of the VT–VY kits.
Two Everflo mufflers already give a well-damped, subdued note; adding a hotdog resonator in line targets the mid-range droning frequencies the mufflers leave behind. The combination is aimed at the quietest, most drone-free result in the VT–VY V6 range — useful if you want the freer-flowing pipe without the boom on the highway.
It's the section from the catalytic converter back, sized here at 2in for the V6. The converter and front pipe stay; the kit reworks the rear flow and tone — here through two mufflers and the in-line hotdog. With three quietening stages it carries more silencing hardware than the single- or twin-box kits in the range.
It's listed to fit the Holden Commodore VT–VY V6 in ute and wagon form. The two bodies share much of the rear floor but differ at the very back, so confirm your exact body, model and year with the workshop so the routing matches your car before ordering.
