The Redback K-RPM15779 is a 2.5in performance cat-back exhaust system listed to fit the Holden Commodore VL V8 5.0 in wagon body. It replaces the pipework behind the catalytic converter and keeps the engine-side hardware as standard.
What's a cat-back and what does it change?
A cat-back swaps the exhaust from the catalytic converter rearward — mid pipe, muffler and tailpipe — while the cat and the engine-side plumbing stay in place. At 2.5in it's sized for the VL's 5.0 V8 rather than oversized, and in wagon form it suits the longer rear section of the body. The result is a louder-than-stock note without touching the front of the system.
