The Pacemaker KBD4210-XXXR fits a centre resonator instead of a muffler in its single 3in DPF-back kit for the Ford Ranger PX2/PX3 3.2L (P5AT, 2016–2022, with DPF) — tuned to cut drone while keeping more of the diesel's voice.
Why a centre resonator on the Ranger?
A resonator is a tuning device aimed at a specific frequency, so in this kit it targets the highway drone owners of the 3.2L P5AT tend to notice without the broadband damping a centre muffler applies. The result keeps more of the diesel note than the muffler version while taking the edge off cruise resonance — the opposite trade in this Ranger family.
What's a DPF-back kit, and the 3in single?
This is the run from behind the factory diesel particulate filter rearward, supplied as a kit with the pipework and hardware to finish the section. The DPF and the emissions hardware in front of it stay put. A single 3in bore is larger than the standard tailpipe — the section a workshop swaps to free flow and shape the sound on the P5AT.
