The Pacemaker KBD9420-XXMX is a 3in DPF-back exhaust kit listed to fit the Nissan Navara ST and ST-X (D23) with the 2.3L turbo-diesel, from 2015. It picks up behind the factory diesel particulate filter and runs to the tailpipe.
What does this Navara kit cover?
This 3in kit is matched to the D23 Navara in ST and ST-X trim with the 2.3L turbo-diesel, picking up at the rear of the factory diesel particulate filter and carrying through to the tailpipe. The two grades share the same fitment here. What the catalogue doesn't state is the material or the muffler layout, and rather than invent either we confirm them against the kit on the bench before it goes near the ute.
What is a DPF-back system and what does it change?
A DPF-back swap leaves the particulate filter and all the emissions plumbing ahead of it in place, and replaces only the run behind it. On the D23's 2.3-litre diesel the point of stepping up to 3in is the rear flow rather than volume, so the result is a deeper tailpipe note, not a crack. We can't quote a sound level because the supplier doesn't publish one, and we won't estimate it.
