Holden 253-308 V8 1 3/4in Header Flange Non EFI Head (MHF5225) fits selected vehicle applications.
Category: Extractors and headers

The MPI Automotive MHF5225 is a 1¾in header flange listed to fit the Holden 253 and 308 V8 with the non-EFI head — the machined plate that mates a header or extractor set to the cylinder head, sold on its own as a fabrication and repair component.
A header flange is the thick, ported plate that bolts to the cylinder head and that the primary tubes of a header weld into. It sets the port pattern and the tube bore — here drilled for 1¾in primaries — and carries the bolt holes that locate everything to the head. It's a building block for fabricating or repairing extractors, not a complete exhaust part in itself.
MPI lists this flange specifically for the non-EFI head on the Holden 253 and 308 V8. Port shape and bolt spacing differ between head castings, so the flange has to match the head you actually have — this one is cut for the carburettor-era non-EFI pattern, not the later EFI head. Getting that right is the whole point of buying a flange to a specific head.
It's listed to suit the Holden 253 and 308 with the non-EFI head and 1¾in tube, with no other detail published, so we treat fitment as listed-to-suit and confirm against your head casting before it's used. As a raw component it's matched on port pattern and tube size rather than a bolt-on vehicle fit.
