No muffler, no resonator: the MPI Automotive MKGW0010 is the fully open 3in turbo-back for the GWM Cannon ute 2.0L turbo-diesel (2020–2025). With nothing in the run to chamber or absorb sound, it is the freest-flowing and hardest-sounding build in this range.
Why owners choose a straight, open run
Stripping the muffler and resonator out leaves a clean 3in path from the turbo back, which is the least restrictive layout and gives the rawest note of the Cannon options. It suits a build chasing the most open exhaust and the hardest tone, accepting that nothing in the system is there to subdue the 2.0L diesel — there is no drone control, so it is a deliberate trade for sound and flow.
Why the cat-delete blocks NSW registration
This version runs without the catalytic converter. Removing the cat from the engine-back run means it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is sold for off-road and competition use only — no softening. A cat-delete turbo-back belongs on a vehicle used off the road, not a registered daily.
What the 3in turbo-back covers
At 3in the MKGW0010 replaces the run from the turbo outlet rearward across the 2020–2025 Cannon ute — the full engine-back span, finished open at the rear. MPI Automotive lists it at $2088.21, and the complete system is generally ordered in to suit your build.
