The MPI Automotive MKHN0428 pairs 1-3/4in primary extractors with a twin-muffler back end on a 3in system for the VE Commodore and Maloo V8 ute. Two mufflers make it the quieter of the VE ute layouts, with the 1-3/4in primaries tuned for street response.

Where some VE ute systems run a hotdog-and-muffler combination, the MKHN0428 carries two mufflers in series along its 3in run — the more silenced choice. On a VE ute or Maloo that does highway work, that keeps cabin drone down while still lifting the note over stock. Paired with the 1-3/4in primary extractors, it's the settled-note end of the VE ute range.
What does 1-3/4in primary tubing suit?
The 1-3/4in primaries keep exhaust-gas speed up for low-down and mid-range response on a street-driven V8, rather than the larger bore a high-rpm build calls for. They're sized to the 3in downstream pipe so the system flows as a set off the cylinder heads through both mufflers to the rear — a coherent match rather than a header on leftover plumbing.
