Built around a compact centre hotdog and a rear muffler, the MPI Automotive MKSZ0002 is a full 2in exhaust system for the Suzuki Jimny SWB 3-door 1.5L petrol. The hotdog is a straight-through resonator that takes the edge off without a full chambered muffler in the middle.
Why a centre hotdog plus rear muffler?
A hotdog is a short, straight-through resonator — it flows more freely than a chambered muffler and tidies up the note rather than heavily silencing it. Pairing it as the centre stage with a conventional rear muffler gives a layered result: the hotdog keeps gas moving through the middle of the car, and the rear muffler does the final quietening at the tailpipe.
